What you will find inside the Museum
First Photo Gallery is photos take from the William Cochran glass etching was
dedicated Friday evening October 4, 2019 at its new home in front of the
Frederick County Fire & Rescue Museum on South Seton Avenue.
The etching “Volunteers” was officially presented to
public view after nearly two years of project and fund raising efforts to
provide a new home for this iconic fire service depiction. The etching was
originally dedicated in 1989 at the Firehouse Financial Center in the old
Independent Hose Co. building at 12 West Church St where the etching was on
display for almost 30 years.
Take a trip back into history as you walk thru our Museum in Photo Galleries 2 and 3 and visit each of our fire companies. Each table has two or three Fire & Rescue companies information, photos of their history in the fire and rescue services in Frederick County, Maryland. Come by and visit us to see first hand of our displays we have here at the Frederick County Volunteer fire and Rescue Companies Museum.
